Biography
Carmen Arimescu has extensive experience in developing software for industrial and scientific research using several computer languages, and in the application of scientific computing. As part of her software development experience, Ms. Arimescu has implemented quality assurance procedures in all of her software development projects and is proficient with QA/QC needs and requirements in the research setting. Her software experience includes database development and management, data visualization, animation and data mapping using Tecplot, and GIS applications.
Ms. Arimescu has designed and developed a number of software packages through all of the stages of the software development cycle. She has worked on interdisciplinary teams in the development of software to meet the needs of researchers. Her experience as both an end user and a researcher has prepared her to implement constructive QA/QC procedures in her projects. Ms. Arimescu has conducted extensive and independent QA reviews of software designed and implemented for the research field.
