Biography
Mr. Scherpelz joined the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory staff in 1978, initially working in criticality safety. Since December 1978, he has been working as a health physicist, and is currently in the Environmental Health Sciences group. His health physics related work has been in the general areas of dose assessment, both through calculation and measurement. He has contributed to the design of dosimeters, the implementation of neutron detection instrumentation, computer code development, shielding and dosimetry calculations, and the characterization of radiation fields in the workplace.
